This iced strawberry latte is so creamy, refreshing, and perfectly sweet. It’s incredibly easy to make and an excellent choice for a summer beverage. Start by making a strawberry syrup using fresh or frozen strawberries, and combining it with strong coffee and your choice of creamer.

I like oat milk or oat creamer in my coffee. I always use Silk Half & Half Oat and Coconut Creamer.

How to make an iced strawberry latte

To make a strawberry ice latte, start by making a quick strawberry syrup by cooking fresh or frozen strawberries with white sugar. Once the consistency becomes jammy, remove it from the heat and add 1/2 of it to a glass. Add ice cubes and cold coffee, and top it off with your choice of coffee cream.

What kind of coffee do you use to make iced lattes?

Typically, iced lattes are made with espresso shots. If you don’t have an espresso maker, you can use any type of strong coffee. Just make it beforehand and chill it. Or, make cold brew coffee, which is what I prefer to use.

Does strawberry go with coffee?

While strawberries and coffee may not be the most obvious pair, the actually compliment each other well. The sweetness and slight acidity of fresh strawberries blends well with the rich, bitter notes of coffee. The fruity freshness of strawberries can balance out the intensity of coffee.

  • Instead of white sugar to sweeten the strawberry syrup, you can use brown sugar, maple syrup, or honey.

Tips for making a strawberry latte

  • Use cold brew if you don’t have an espresso maker.
  • Use plain cream instead of sweetened coffee cream, as the strawberry sauce is sweetened.

What to serve with iced lattes

Iced lattes are great for summer afternoons and can pair well with snacks or sweets. If you’re serving breakfast or brunch, try a homemade bagel or double up on the fruit and have a vegan strawberry muffin. For afternoon snacking, serve your strawberry latte with a vegan Danish or peanut butter stuffed dates.

Want more iced coffee? Try a maple cinnamon cold brew, or a vegan cold coffee.

Storage

Store the strawberry sauce and the coffee separately, and mix when you’re ready to make an iced coffee. The strawberry sauce can be stored covered in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
