Vegan Honey Mustard | This 3 ingredient vegan honey mustard made with tangy Dijon mustard, sweet maple syrup, and creamy cashews is so easy to make. Ready in just minutes, this versatile sauce adds a sweet and savoury kick to any meal.

Honey mustard is traditionally made with honey, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise. It’s often enjoyed with finger foods like fries or nuggets, or as a vegan honey mustard dressing for salad or potato salad, and to top burgers and sandwiches.
To make a honey mustard alternative for those who don’t consume honey, I swap the honey with maple syrup, and the mayonnaise with creamy blended cashews. This no mayo vegan honey mustard sauce is so easy to put together, and is ready in less than 20 minutes.
Vegan honey mustard sauce is incredibly versatile and goes well with most dishes. It’s a favourite dipping sauce for many, and goes perfectly with vegan chicken nuggets. Try my Tofu Nuggets with the honey mustard sauce!
Is honey vegan?
Honey is a substance made by bees, that is stored in the bee hive. The answer to whether or not honey is vegan varies from person to person. For those who don’t eat honey, the slight floral sweetness of honey can be replicated with ingredients, like maple syrup. Maple syrup is a natural liquid sweetener, perfect for sauces like this vegan honey mustard.
