Maple Cinnamon Cold Brew With Oat Milk
Maple Cinnamon Cold Brew | This refreshing cold brew with oat milk is flavoured with maple syrup and cinnamon. This cold brew coffee is the perfect drink for any day and takes less than 2 minutes to assemble.
I’m Canadian, of course, I use maple syrup in everything. Well not everything, but definitely in this iced cold brew! Maple and cinnamon are such cozy flavours that go so well together, especially paired with creamy and nutty oat milk.
The maple cinnamon flavour reminds one of fall, yet the refreshing iced coffee is perfect for spring or summer. Enjoy comforting flavours any day of the year with this delicious maple cinnamon cold brew recipe.
Maple syrup provides the perfect sweetness for coffee, and you don’t risk that grainy feel. White sugar is best dissolved in hot water, so you can skip that fuss by using maple syrup, a liquid sweetener.
This is the perfect iced coffee if you’re craving Starbucks but don’t have to spend $10. And, it takes less than 2 minutes to assemble, which is less time than you’d spend standing in line. As if that’s not enough of a win, this maple cinnamon cold brew just tastes sweet, and spiced and has the creamiest texture.
What kind of oat milk is best for frothing?
Regular oat milk froths well as is, but I like to use Earth’s Own Oat Barista. When plant milk is made specifically for making coffee, it usually contains extra protein, which makes it better for frothing. And it’s creamier than regular oat milk.
How do you make cold brew?
Cold brew is made by soaking ground coffee beans in cold water for around 16-20 hours. The ratio of ground coffee to water is normally 1:8, which yields a coffee that is ready to drink as is.
I like to make concentrated cold brew, by using a 1:4 ratio. I drink a lot of coffee, so this way it lasts longer because I mellow it out with water or oat milk.
You can likely buy cold brew or concentrated cold brew from your local grocery store.
How do you froth oat milk?
My go to when it comes to frothing is to use a hand held frother. If you don’t have a hand held frother, there are other ways to froth milk.
You can shake oat milk in a jar with a lid until it’s bubbly and frothy.
You can add the oat milk to a French press and pull up and down on the plunger until frothy. The oat milk goes through the various plates and mesh pieces, incorporating air into the milk.
