How to make vegetarian poutine at home

Poutine is a Canadian comfort food dish made by topping crispy French fries with cheese curds and gravy. Vegetarians can enjoy this delicious dish too, with my easy vegetarian gravy recipe.

Ingredients French fries Cheese curds Vegetable stock powder Soya sauce Butter All purpose flour

Cook your fries according to the package instructions.

Mix the vegetable stock powder and soya sauce with hot water.

Melt the butter in a sauce pan.

Add the flour and whisk to create a paste.

Slowly add the vegetable stock and whisk until smooth.

Simmer the gravy for a couple minutes, so it can thicken.

Top the cooked fries with cheese curds.

Pour the gravy overtop.
