In the bowl of your stand mixer with the dough attachment, or a mixing bowl, combine the warm oat milk, instant yeast, melted butter, and sugar.
Add the flour and salt, and mix at a medium speed until combined. Once the dough forms a shaggy dough, mix on low or knead by hand for 5 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough and rest in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide into 8 even pieces. Roll each piece into about 6 inch long strands. PLace on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, and cover. Rest for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375℉/190℃. Brush the hot dog buns with melted butter and bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden on top. Allow them to cool before slicing.
